The last ghost Beatles’ album
09/02/2010

"The next one is a real statement of my recent experience. Due to the nature of what has happened, I must stay in the anonymity until I feel it is sure to reveal my real name, but for the moment, you can refer to me as James Richards". This is the way this person use to explain in thebeatlesneverbrokeup.com, the surprising and improbable possession of 11 unpublished songs of the Beatles that he puts at the disposal of everybody who wants to download them.

The main character of this story, narrates his dog escaped from him in the desert of California and when he was trying to reach it, he stumbled and fell down and he appeared in an unknown house. There, a man called Jonás told him he was in a parallel world, a new "unreality" where the band of Liverpool continues doing performances.

"John and George died but apparently in the new Jonás’ world, they are alive, healthy and they all are still on tour together" He reports.

To explain the jump to this dimension he resorts to experiments of the FISHNET. To convince that this was real, he brought a supposed recording tape of what would be the last album of The Beatles known up to the date, "Everyday Chemistry". The album contains 11 songs of good quality but of musical certainly strange sonority.

Under the manuscript title in the tape -which shows in a picture in the web- there appear the songs also annotated with a pen: 'Tour Guys, Talking to myself, Anybody else, Sick to death, Jenn, I'm just sitting here, Soldier boy, Over the ocean, Days like these, Saturday night and Mr. Gator's swamp jamboree'.

Music As Follows has made come some of these songs to three experts in the life and work of The Beatles. The first one of them, C. Ríos, says: "I have listened to this and it is a complex work of laboratory assembling many topics of the four Beatles separately. The technical merit is the conjunction of the songs, because it is continuing in a coherent harmonic line. And yes, it looks like a psychodelic trip with the four after their separation".

Diego Ruiz comments that "it is a complex mix to make, a madness of voices and music of The Beatles". He makes clear that "a good connoisseur of them will be able to find the pieces of this puzzle separately. There are a little of everything".

The opinion of the third specialist is the same that the previous one. Nevertheless, when he is interested in knowing the history and he approaches to the web, he provides information not connected with the music: the date of the narrated facts is "9 of 09 of 2009". Three numbers nine. And after a few minutes smiling he goes to the shelving and he shows a short statement of the science fiction writer Stephen Baxter, "Twelfth Album". It is a text written in 1988 and gathered in an anthology of statements of this genre.

"The Twelfth Album" relates how two men find an album of The Beatles with the tittle "God" in a parallel world. In this occasion Apple Records published an album with 11 songs of The Beatles and hidden track. Different songs of recordings were chosen between them separately or in duets. The history repeats itself but this time we do not know the reasons, but we know the arduous work that the mysterious "James Richards" must have realized to complete this ghost album.
